I didn’t used to read books.
But now that I do, I find myself annotating them like mad, underlining anything that is mildly intelligent or challenging or funny.
There is a scene (or two, I can’t remember) in the movie A Walk To Remember where the main character, Jamie, reads from her mother’s journal. Her mother wrote down various quotes and Bible passages and such in her journal, and I always thought that was cool - a quote journal.
So that’s what this, um, “quote blog” is. An attempt to gather a bunch of quotes from texts that I am reading or have read in one place. Maybe you’ll find it helpful… and even if you don’t, that’s alright, because I certainly do.
Rather than acting like a “true” blog, with many posts on the main page, this blog will depend very heavily on the categorization of quotes by author, book, and quote subject. A search box is also provided for ease of quote-finding (what’s the point of having tons of quotes stored if you can’t find ‘em?).
