Istanbul, Turkey
Sadly, I believe this will be my last post from the trip.We are now in Istanbul, taking the last few days of the trip slowly. We visited out last sites today, and tonight and tomorrow we have to write a final paper. Mine is about the passage in Acts about Paul in Athens. We visited the Blue Mosque yesterday, and today we saw Aya Sofia, the National Archaeological Museum of Turkey and Topkapi Palace. All were incredible.
Interestingly, yesterday afternoon we saw Dave Chapelle as we were walking back to our hotel. When we noticed that it was him, he got upset and yelled something about how he came here to ‘escape us people.’ A couple of people in our group snuck pictures, but I did not. I thought it was a huge coincidince to see him here.
I don’t have much more to say except that although it has been great studying this part of the world, it will be very good to get home.

Dude,
I can’t wait ’til you get back! Every time i think of something i wanna tell you, I’m like “Crap, he’s not here.” So, here’s a quick run down of stuff you should know:
1) undeclared started some recording. It went ok. Just trying to get some scratch tracks.
2) Keane- Feb. 21st The Quest Twin Cities, MN
3) Lana Mutcher – undefeated…championship Tuesday
4) there was a open mic night last night with a 1st place prize of $300. Dr. Thunder would have been top three. It was frustrating. But i helped out Brad and Booza during their Drum/strip performance. I just held the big drum. :)
Anyways, Holler back and have a great rest of J-Term! See you in February.
Hi Jake-
I am still glad you are having fun, your trip sounds like a huge blessing (minus dave chappelle..just kidding?) and I can now officially say I have laughed substantially less during J-term with your absence. But I also have been farted on less, so whatever. Have an awesome rest of your trip and see ya in feb.
